Kazakhstan’s model from Almaty Akerke Berdirakhman will represent Kazakhstan at Miss Freedom of the World-2014 beauty pageant on August 16-31 in Kosovo, Tengrinews reports.
Akerke, 24, graduated from Kazakh-American University in Almaty majoring in Computer Science and Telecommunications.
Apart from Miss Freedom of the World-2014, Akerke is also taking part in the selection of Miss United Continents-2014, which will take place in Ecuador in September.
Kazakhstan takes part in Miss Freedom of the World-2014 beauty pageant for the first time ever.
Girls at age of 16 to 28 who are taller than 163 cm are eligible for the participation in the competition. One of participants’ task is to make a presentation of their country, culture and traditions. In addition, fashion shows are held as a part of the contest.
Last year’s winner was Semina Obradovic from Bosnia and Herzegovina. The winner of 2012 was Moldovan Irina Boyeva.
