President Nazarbayev has assured that Kazakhstan will not suffer from the economic sanctions that have been or will be imposed on Russia by some of the countries, Tengrinews reports citing the presidential press office. At the meeting during the Nuclear Security Summit, the President of Kazakhstan said that the economy of Kazakhstan might however be affected is there is a decline in the Russian economy. Russian citizens are concerned with economic sanctions imposed on the country by a number of countries unhappy with Russia's actions and policies in Ukraine and the Crimea. Earlier USA Today reported that Bank Rosiya was suffering from Visa and MasterCard suspending their services. Even though operation of the payment card systems was resumed later, Bank Rosiya’s credit card system is still not functioning. Speaking about the recent global problems Nazarbayev said there was a need for a new decision making process. “G-8 and G20 were not able to resolve the economic and political crisis. This makes the G-Global initiative that interactively joins 190 participating countries especially important,” the President of Kazakhstan said.
