Talgat Yermegiyayev was appointed chairman of Kazakhstan Agency of Sport and Physical Culture, Tengrinews.kz reports citing Yermegiyayev as saying on the sidelines of the government meeting on January 24. Earlier he was released from the Minister’s office after reorganization of the Ministry of Tourism and Sport.
Talgat Yermegiyayev told about goals and tasks of Kazakhstan at the London Olympics.
“A minimum target is to show results no worse than those at the Beijing Olympics. I think we will even increase the number of medals and improve the results. In Beijing we got the 29th place overall. For London we plan to be at least at the 28th place overall, but I think it will be even better,” Yermegiyayev said.
