President of Vietnam arrived in Kazakhstan

President of Vietnam has arrived to Kazakhstan with a state visit, Tengrinews.kz reports. “Kazakhstan considers Vietnam an important strategic partner in South-East Asia. Your first visit to Kazakhstan creates exceptionally favorable conditions for expansion and enhancement of the bilateral relations. Economic cooperation of our countries is still at the initial stage, even though there has been a good growth in the last 1-1.5 years. It is very important that Days of Vietnamese Culture are currently being held in Kazakhstan. We are also establishing a twin-city relations between Astana and Hanoi. This makes our people closer and improves the general economic and political cooperation,” Nursultan Nazarbayev said in his welcoming speech. “I would like to express my pleasure from visiting the beautiful country of Kazakhstan and meeting you, dear Mr. President. I would like to express our joy and appreciation of the huge achievements that the brotherly people of Kazakhstan made in development of your country under your management, as well as in the steady improvement of Kazakhstan’s positions and role in the region and in the world. My visit to Kazakhstan will give us an opportunity to once again verify the course of implementation of the existing agreements and exchange our opinions and agree on the measures of further enhancement of the bilateral relations,” President of Vietnam Truong Tan Sang replied. The commodities turnover between the two countries grew 55 percent in 2011 and reached $59.1 million. It made $38.2 million in 2010.
