Kazakhstan and the Netherlands should launch a Business Council to help expand economic ties, Tengrinews reports, citing Kazakhstan’s President Nursultan Nazarbayev as saying. “I am content with the high level of cooperation between the two nations. Launching a Business Council would be of great importance. It will enable to secure closer ties between the economy ministries and business circles of the two nations”, President said following the ceremony of presenting credentials by a number of ambassadors in Astana today. According to the President, the trade turnover between the two nations reached $10 billion in 2013. “The Dutch investments into the Kazakhstan economy stand at $48 billion”, he elaborated. “I hope to be able to broach this and other subjects on my trip to the Hague in March to attend the Nuclear Security Summit [to be held March 24-25]”, President said.
