Nazarbayev meets Hollande and Obama at G20

Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev has had several bilateral meetings during the G20 summit, Tengrinews.kz reports citing the President’s press-service. Nazarbayev discussed bilateral cooperation in trade and investments with French President Francois Hollande, the message states. Nazarbayev also discussed expansion of partnership between Kazakhstan and the United States with U.S. President Barack Obama. They also covered the topic of nuclear weapons non-proliferation and regional security. Besides, Nazarbayev met with Prime-Ministers of several countries. He discussed enchantment of partnership in different areas with Prime-Minister of Spain Mariano Rajoy. And his meeting with Prime-Minister of Great Britain David Cameron covered implementation of the agreements reached during the Prime-Minister's visit to Kazakhstan, as well as the international agenda. The President met with Prime-Minister of Italy Enrico Letta to discuss bilateral trade and economic interaction. His talks with Prime-Minister of Canada Stephen Harper were focused on expansion of the bilateral partnership in different sectors, including agriculture. The meeting with Prime-Minister of Japan Sindzo Abe covered different aspects of cooperation between the two countries, as well as the trade and investment partnership. According to the press-service, the President also met with Sultan of Brunei Darussalam and chairman of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Hassanal Bolkiah to discuss a wide range of issues of multilateral interaction and regional security. Nazarbayev also discussed promising directions of development of the bilateral cooperation with President of Mexico Enrique Peña Nieto. Kazakhstan President also exchanged opinions with Prime-Minister of India Manmohan Singh on the prospects of development of interaction between the countries in trade, scientific-and-technical and investments sectors.
