Kazakhstan consulate opened in Antalya province of Turkey, Tengrinews.kz reports citing press-service of Kazakhstan Foreign Ministry. “Kazakhstan consulate opened in Antalya on October 7, 2012 prior to the official visit of Kazakhstan President to Turkey,” the press-service wrote. The opening ceremony was attended by Kazakhstan Ambassador to Turkey Zhanseit Tuimebayev, Governor of Antalya Ahmet Altyparmak, leading businessmen and entrepreneurs, prominent scientists, artists and sportsmen. “Our bilateral relations are strengthening every year. This helps increase the number of tourists from Kazakhstan. We are happy with that and do our best in showing our hospitality,” Governor Altyparmak said. Ambassador Tuimebayev stated that different events with participation of representatives of Kazakhstan's business community and cultural-humanitarian events with participation of Kazakhstan art groups have been held in Antalya in 2012. Antalya province is one of the main vacation destinations for Kazakhstan citizens. “The number of Kazakhstan tourists in Turkey exceeded 300 thousand people in 2011 and most of them visited Antalya,” the Ministry stated.
