Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Karim Massimov has attended the inauguration ceremony of newly-elected President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko held on June 7, 2014 in Kiev, Ukraine, Tengrinews reports citing the PM’s official website.

During his visit to Ukraine, Kazakhstan’s PM had a number of bilateral meetings.

Karim Massimov met with Ukrainian PM Arseniy Yatsenyuk to discuss the prospects of development of Kazakh-Ukrainian relations.

He also held a meeting with President of the European Council Herman Van Rompuy, where they discussed further strengthening and expansion of bilateral trade and economic cooperation between Kazakhstan and the European Union.
