Iran is expecting a response from Western countries on its suggestion to regulate the nuclear program as part of the 5+1 meeting to be held in Almaty on February 26, RIA Novosti writes citing Iranian ambassador to Moscow Seyed Mahmoud Reza Sajjadi. "Our request for the upcoming talks in Kazakhstan is that there are no double standards towards the Iranian nuclear program. The U.S. are accusing us of creating nuclear weapons. This is a groundless accusation that has no proof. This is our position. At the Moscow meeting (of 5+1) we suggested a project consisting of 5 points. We are expecting a logical approach of 5+1 to these suggestions," the ambassador said. Earlier an official representative of EU stated that the talks of 5+1 and Iran will be held in Almaty on February 26. "High representative (Baroness Catherine Ashton) hopes that the talks will be successful and a certain progress will be achieved in finding a solution that would be a respond to the fears of the global community over the Iranian nuclear program,” Ashton’s press-secretary Michael Mann said.
