Eurasian integration should be equally advantageous for all participants: Akhmetov

Kazakhstan's Prime-Minister Serik Akhmetov believes it especially important that all the member countries equally benefit from the Eurasian integration, Tengrinews reports from St.Petersburg. "We have a common intent to uphold the integration, and I suppose, that we all share the opinion that the integration should be advantageous for each and every participant," Kazakhstan Prime-Minister Serik Akhmetov said at the meeting with his Armenian counterpart Tigran Sargsyan that was held within the frames of the today's CIS Leaders Council. Tigran Sargsyan pointed out, discussing the issue of potential accession of Armenia into the Customs Union, that the extent of Armenian readiness of joining to the Customs Union was very high. "We have formed the range of work groups and we are ready to cooperate with your experts. Our readiness is high," the Prime-Minister of Armenia said. The Prime-Minister of Kazakhstan supported Armenia's intention to join the Customs Union. According to the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Shavarsh Kocharyan, Yerevan expect to be ready for signing of the treaty to join the Customs Union and Common Economic Space in February 2014. Armenia is not the only country expected to join the CU in the foreseeable future: the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council in Moscow has already approved the action plan of Kyrgyzstan's accession into the Customs Union.
