Bauyrzhan Baibek was appointed first deputy chairman of Nur Otan party. Kazakhstan President and chairman of the ruling party Nursultan Nazarbayev introduced Baibek at the meeting of the political council bureau, Tengrinews.kz reports. "Bakhytzhan Sagintayev (former first deputy chairman of the party) was appointed first deputy Prime-Minister and Minister of Regional Development. He was released form his position (in the party). I suggest to appoint Bauyrzhan Baibek, who works as deputy head of the Administration. He is young, he will turn 40 soon. He has been working for around 4 years as deputy head of the Administration. He has been to all regional branches of our party. All Akims (Mayors and Governors) know him. I hope that he will help attract more young people to our party. It is very important for the country that they bring in their young spirit and creative thinking. I am sure he will do well. I think that he is able to get to the level of this task. That's why I'm taking this decision and appointing him," Nursultan Nazarbayev said at the meeting. Bauyrzhan Baibek was born on March 19, 1974 in Almaty. Until today he worked as deputy head of Kazakhstan President's Administration. He graduated from Kazakhstan state Bolashak scholarship program (1994-1998) (studied in Germany). He holds a Ph.D in Political Science, he has three higher educations: pedagogical, foreign economy and musical. In 1999-2002 he worked as a personal assistant and attache of Kazakhstan's General Consulate in Frankfurt am Main and third secretary of the economic division of Kazakhstan Embassy in Berlin. In 2002-2006 he worked at different positions in Kazakhstan President's Administration. From 2006 to 2009 he served as the Chief of the Protocol of Kazakhstan President. In August 2009 he was appointed deputy head of Kazakhstan President's Administration. Baibek speaks German and English. He is married, has two children. Former first deputy chairman of the party Bakhytzhan Sagintayev was appointed first deputy Prime-Minister of Kazakhstan and Minister of Regional Development on January 16. Finishing the meeting, the new first deputy Prime-Minister of Kazakhstan Bakytzhan Sagintayev thanked the President for his trust and promised to use all his knowledge and experience in the new position. In his turn, Nursultan Nazarbayev also thanked Sagintayev for his work. "Now tell Bauyrzhan about the job," Nursultan Nazarbayev told Bakhyzhan Sagintayev and added the following about Bauyrzhan Baibek: "He worked in the Administration for the last 4 years. He speaks English and German. He is well educated. This has to be used as well. We need to enhance the international relations of the party." By Renat Tashkinbayev
