Serik Akhmetov believes that the launch of Kashagan project is “a victory of technological progress”, Tengrinews reports from the 8th KAZENERGY forum. “We still have many perspective projects ahead of us. Over a short period of time oil production in Kazakhstan tripled and gas production increased 5-fold. The launch of Kashagan project should be viewed as a victory of the technical progress. Kazakhstan is not going to limit itself to this project,” Kazakhstan Prime-Minister said. According to him, the forum will include a special round-table meeting on the new Eurasia project. “We are talking about establishing an international consortium. In general, we are building a highly-technological chain of the energy resources use. This includes development of oil processing and oil chemistry,” Akhmetov added. The forum called Energy of the Future – Eurasian Prospects is attended by around 1,000 delegates and guests from amongst the leaders of the global energy business, politicians, managers of the leading international energy institutes and famous scientists and experts. The speakers of the 8t forum include former Prime-Minister of France Francois Fillon, former Prime-Minister of Spain Jose Maria Aznar, UAE Energy Minister Suhail Mohammed Faraj Al Mazroui and many other influential persons.
