Hungary is ready to share technologies with Kazakhstan, Tengrinews.kz reports citing Prime-Minister of Hungary Viktor Orban as saying during signing of bilateral agreements with Kazakhstan government. “We will be pleased to offer Kazakhstan the advanced technologies Hungary currently owns,” Orban said. Head of Hungarian government noted that Kazakhstan Prime-Minister “kindly accepted our suggestions helping us join the club of countries that Kazakhstan has the strategic cooperation agreements with”. Viktor Orban suggested to create a joint financial fund that would help establishing joint companies. “I thanked Prime-Minister for suggesting that Hungarian companies participate in Kazakhstan’s energy sector and we were happy to note that Hungarian company MOL was a successful partner at Kazakhstan's energy market. We asked mister Prime-Minister to give us wider opportunities and agreed with him that both agriculture and construction industry may be the areas where our cooperation could reach new heights,” Orban told the journalists. Hungarian Prime-Minister noted that he arrived in the country not affected by the global financial crisis and, in his turn, invited his Kazakhstan counterpart to visit Hungary. Karim Massimov thanked Viktor Orban for the warm words. “The policy you pursue and the direction you have specified as 'the Eastward direction' is an especially promising development for the people of your country. International cooperation has to bring welfare to all people. I think that the agreements we have reached today will improve the lives of the Hungarian and Kazakhstan people. The agreements we have reached on cooperation in education, agriculture, construction and several other areas will yield results in the nearest future,” Massimov said. The meeting of Prime-Ministers included signing of 7 agreements between Hungary and Kazakhstan. In particular, head of the governments adopted a joint statement, and Kazakhstan Finance Ministry and Ministry of National Economy of Hungary signed an agreement on taxation-related information exchange. Besides, a letter of intent on cooperation in healthcare activities was signed by Kazakhstan Healthcare Minister Salidat Kairbekova and Hungarian Secretary of State of the Ministry of National Resources Andras Javor. The cooperation agreement was also signed between the Chambers of Commerce of the two countries. Regional cooperation was established through the agreement between Almaty oblast and Jász-Nagykun-Szolnok oblast of Hungary. The memorandum of understanding was signed between KAZNEX INVEST National Agency of Export and Investments and Hungarian HITA Investment and Trade Agency. The last document in the package of signed agreements was a letter of intent for strategic cooperation in railroad transport sector between Kazakhstan Temir Zholy National Company and Hungarian Railways.
