The world is entering one of the most critical eras, Kazakhstan President said at the 66th session of the UN General Assembly, Tengrinews.kz reports. “The world is entering one of the most critical eras. The human race has conquered major energy sources, but is powerless in the face of natural disasters. Whole enclaves of poverty and misery appear even in the richest and most successful countries. It is more and more difficult to restrain outbreaks of inter-ethnic and inter-religious intolerance even in the communities with lasting tolerance traditions,” Nursultan Nazarbayev told on September 21 in New York. He reminded the world leaders about Kazakhstan's initiative regarding adoption of the global energy-ecological strategy and said that he is ready to take this idea to the the Millennium Summit in Rio de Janeiro.
