Vladimir Putin arrived in Astana

Vladimir Putin arrived in Astana, Tengrinews.kz reported from Kazakhstan President’s residency. Russia’s President was welcomed by the national guard orchestra. Besides Kazakhstan President, Putin was welcomed by members of Kazakhstan government led by Prime-Minister Karim Massimov, as well as by the head of Kazakhstan Presidential Administration. Nursultan Nazarbayev welcomed the high profile visitor. Putin greeted the country’s top management with handshakes. After the official welcoming ceremony with the anthems of both countries, Kazakhstan and Russian presidents had a meeting in a narrow format. The leaders of both countries discussed a wide range of issues of bilateral cooperation and development of interaction amid the integration and cover international and regional problems of mutual interest. Besides, the parties also discussed cooperation in energy and space, as well as forming of the Eurasian Economic Space. Nazarbayev and Putin took part in the meeting of the Council of heads of SCO (Shanghai Cooperation Organization) member-countries in Beijing. By Assel Satayeva
