Timur Kulibayev met with Vice-President of World Petroleum Council

Chairman of KAZENERGY association Timur Kulibayev met with Vice-President of the World Petroleum Council (WPC), Tengrinews.kz reports citing the association’s press-service. “Chairman of KAZENERGY association Timur Kulibayev met with Vice-President of the World Petroleum Council Joseph Toth on the sidelines of the 5th Astana Economic Forum. The meeting covered a wide range of cooperation issues, as well as the draft agenda of the next meeting of WPC National Commission to be held in Astana under KAZENERGY Eurasian Forum on October 2-3,” the message states. Vice-President of the World Petroleum Council noted that this energy sector of Kazakhstan has a high potential and the country’s administration takes impressive and significant decisions on expansion of Kazakhstan content in technological and industrial development of oil and gas equipment and technologies. According to him, issues related to processing of raw materials in Kazakhstan are also being successfully solved through implementation of the leading engineering solutions and modern technologies. Representatives of WPC national commissions will discuss work plans for the nearest years in Astana. In this relation the parties agreed to activate the work on resolving organizational issues during preparation of the meeting of WPC National Commission. “The decision on selection of Kazakhstan capital as a location of WPC forum is important in terms of popularization of the country’s image and demonstration of the capacities of its oil and gas sector,” the press-service writes. Kulibayev, in his turn, assured the speaker that Kazakhstan party will take all the necessary measures to host the World Petroleum Council at the highest level in Astana.
