Respect and compliments most important for Kazakhstan women

Respectful attitude of bosses and colleagues is most important for Kazakhstan women, Tengrinews.kz reports citing an opinion poll made by HeadHunder. The survey involved over 7 thousand people who were asked about what was the most important for them at work. The possible preferences included respect of bosses and colleagues (4.29 points), good wages (4.18 points), loyal attitude (opportunity to take time off for personal reasons, work out of home, etc. – 3.9 points), attention outside holidays (compliments, praises, etc. – 3 points) and gifts and good wishes on holidays (2.53 points). 54 percent of the polled women said that their colleagues were respectful to them. 23 percent of the poll’s participants said they did not feel much respect and another 22 percent were undecided. 58 percent of the polled women noted that bosses were quite loyal to them. For example, if they were not feeling well and had to leave the office early, the bosses were always supportive. 30 percent of the women said that their bosses did not always support them, and 9 percent said that they were working with a strict boss and exceptions like that were inappropriate. The poll showed that 31 percent of the women did not get any gifts from their bosses on holidays. 33 percent of women said they always received gifts from their bosses and the same number women said that they receive gifts sometimes. 51 percent of the polled women said they regularly received compliments from their male colleagues, 16 percent said they received compliments only on holidays. 21 percent noted that they never got any compliments at work.
