Kazakhstan President talked to school students right after the official opening of Lyceum School No.70 in Astana. The young people literally fired questions at the President, Tengrinews.kz reports. “Many Kazakhstan citizens name their children and grandchildren after you; each of us wants to be like you,” started one teenager, but Nazarbayev interrupted him: “I have not instructed anyone to do that.” After some laughing, the young man asked the President whether he dreamed of becoming a president when he was a kid. “I had different dreams, but I never dreamed about this. But I always wanted to be first,” Nursultan Nazarbayev said. “Of course, politics is good and business is good, but science gives stable earnings and guarantees respect to a person. We invite Nobel Prize winners to Astana Economic Forum. These people are of a high demand everywhere in the world. They are invited everywhere, as they have achieved big heights in science. I am planning to give a lecture in Nazarbayev University that was established upon my instruction. There we will talk about our future, because science is the future. "Not everyone must graduate from the universities. It doesn’t happen in life this way. Actually, everything is done by the hands of (blue-collar) workers. But what kind of workers we have in mind? Highly-qualified ones, who graduated from colleges. They are highly demanded amid the new life conditions. The whole life is built by the workers. The most important in being young is to try and use this time to get real and deep knowledge. It will propel you forward,” he told the young people. Asked about the sport he prefers the President said that he used to wrestle in his childhood. He said that he also liked equestrian sport, still played lawn tennis and golf sometimes. He was also fond of mountain skiing. In particular, he said that he tried every slope even the most scarp ones in Europe. “A successful person is a healthy person and only 10 percent here depends on medicine. Why don't we launch a campaign called "Give up bad habits" to mark the victories of our athletes in the London Olympics,” President said. By Renat Tashkinbayev
