Kazakhstan singer Lido has become the new face of Nikon in Kazakhstan, AFP reports. The singer signed a one-year contract with the company. According to the company’s representatives, they chose Lido not only because she was a beautiful and interesting woman, but also because she represented potential users of Nikon photo cameras. “We chose Lido not only for her successful career in the show business, but because she is an icon of style and a woman who finds time to design her own line of clothes and raise children,” Dinara Ibrayeva, head of Nikon's representative office in Kazakhstan, said. “This work seemed attractive to me, because I have been working as a model at different photo shoots a lot these days. More over, I’m interested in photography art. That’s why I hope that our work will be both exciting and lasting,” Lido shared. Earlier Kazakh singer Lido took part in a photo shoot for advertising campaign of British underwear brand Lazy Eight. And her debut as a designer was at the Kazakhstan Fashion Week 2012.
