A Hungarian businessmen want to enhance historic ties with descendants of the Magyars in Kazakh Argyn and Kypshak tribes in Kazakhstan, Tengrinews.kz reports citing the press-service citing KazEnergy association. “A Hungarian delegation taking part in the car rally has arrived to Astana. The rally called On the Path of the Ancestors was organized by Hungarian businessmen to follow the path of their ancestors, the Magyars. Through this project the businessmen plan to enhance historic ties with the Magyars’ descendants in Argyn and Kypshak tribes of Kazakhstan, promote development of business contacts between Hungarian and Kazakhstan small and medium companies, and step up interaction with commerce cambers of Kostanay and Kyzylorda oblasts,” the message states. According to the press-service, the expedition includes officials and representatives of public and business circles of Hungary. The event is held under the aegis of Kazakhstan-Hungarian business council led by Vice-Chairman of KazEnergy association Dzhambulat Sarsenov and Executive Vice-Chairman of MOL Shandor Fashimon Hungarian company. “The expedition of 8 people drove a long way on two cars to visit the Magyars’ descendants living in Zhangildin region of Kostanay oblast. The route went across Russia to Kostanay oblast of Kazakhstan and the town of Arkalyk. Besides, the Hungarian guests plan to meet with the representatives of Kazakhstan’s Chamber of Commerce and members of Kazakhstan-Hungarian business council in Astana, as well as to take a tour of the city,” KazEnergy writes.
