Runaway teen Indira Gainieva, 17 who eloped with her boyfriend Edward Bunyan, 16 from their boarding school, will be returned to Kyzyolrda, Tengrinews reports citing The Daily Mail. “Everything is under control now, and we want to bring Indira back home to Kazakhstan,” Indira’s father Ravil Gainiev told the journalists. Edward’s mother Susannah Bunyan arrived to the Dominican Republic to help with the search of the teens. The runaway couple spent several days in a lavish five-star hotel in Punta Cana. They moved to a $100 per week apartment when they learned that they were tracked via their credit card payments. The police found Indira and Edward in one of the cafes, and the teens said they did not want to leave. Later, Ms. Bunyan checked them to the same hotel they had stayed in earlier and then accompanied the teens to the police station for interviews. The parents of the teens will have to repay several thousands pounds of credit card debts Indira and Edward made in seven days of their adventure. “The hotel owners won’t face any procedures – the youngsters came for a good time and behaved well, so there was never any danger to them or others”, Ramon Brito, spokesman for the local tourist police, said. The runaways will return to the UK this week where the police of Lancaster will conduct an interview with them. The representatives of the boarding school said that it is impossible to prevent the escape of children merely due to the fact that it is a school and not a prison. As for the teenagers, they ran away from “bad British weather”.
