Massimov held a meeting on crop production

Prime minister of Kazakhstan Karim Massimov held a selector meeting on government subsidies to crop production, according to the Prime-Minister’s official page in VKontakte social network. The meeting was attended by heads of oblast administrations and national companies. They discussed subsidizing production of priority agricultural crops and considered new forms of state support to crop growing. The considered measures included guaranteed purchase of grain to stabilize grain prices and making new agricultural equipment leasing programs cheaper for end costumers. Over 30 billion tenge ($200 million) has been allocated from the state budget this year to subsidized crops growing. 18.6 billion tenge ($124 million) of the allotted sum was channeled into subsidizing priority agricultural crops.
