PHOTO: First Kazakhstan rocket ship floated out in Uralsk

The first rocket-gunnery ship Kazakhstan made by Zenit Uralsk plant has been floated out in Uralsk, Tengrinews.kz reports citing press-service of Kazakhstan Defense Ministry. The ship is meant for performance of military tasks in the areas of navy forces at the Caspian Sea and ensure the country’s security on the sea. “The ship’s full displacement is around 250 tons. The ship is equipped with rocket-gunnery arms, modern communications and navigation equipment,” Defense Ministry’s message states. The official event was participated by Akim (Governor) of West-Kazakhstan oblast Nurlan Nogayev, deputy Defense Minister Sergei Gromov, veterans and the ship’s crew. The Ministry notes that similar ships will form up Kazakhstan Navy in future. Zenit Uralsk plant is one of the military production companies of Kazakhstan. The plant’s technical and production capacities comply with all the requirements of the Marine Registry of Shipping that allows it to produce ships with displacement of up to 500 tons and provide their delivery to the Caspian Sea.
