Kazakhstan has become the first buyer of Russian Terminator tank support fighting vehicles (BMPT), RIA Novosti reports. According to Deputy Director of Russian Federal Service of Military-Technical Cooperation Konstantin Biryulin, the Terminators were supplied to Kazakhstan under military-technical cooperation between the countries. Biryulin stressed that Russia had already supplied 12 units of BTR-82 (armored vehicles) and 3 Buratino flame guns in 2011. Konstantin Biryulin noted that it was the first Russian export of BMPT. According to him, Russian and Kazakhstan militarymen are currently negotiating on continuing purchase of armors and other types of arms. September 15 head of Department of military-technical policy of Kazakhstan Defense Ministry Mukhtar Karabekov said that Kazakhstan is interested in buying new Russian gun launcher-armed tank T-90S. According to Karabekov, the decision on purchasing Russian tanks will be taken by Defense Ministry shortly.
