Promotion centers opened in Kazakhstan explaning People’s IPO

Promotion centers have been opened in Kazakhstan to explain the People’s IPO to the population, Tengrinews.kz reports. “You know that we are performing this work around the country. We have checked the promotion centers in Astana and in the regions. A very powerful information campaign is being implemented nationwide,” deputy chairman of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan Yeraly Tugzhanov said. The promotion centers started working in all the oblasts and in Almaty. They are established in the most crowded areas: people’s services centers, post officers, railway stations, malls, parks and quays. The centers are equipped with all the required information materials and will work round the clock from June to October 2012. The Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan and Samruk-Kazyna have signed a action plan of the joint People’s IPO information campaign on June 7. This work will involve several ministries, representatives of the National Bank, major universities, the Fund of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan, Scientific-Expert Council and the media. 160 thousand people are expected to take part in the People’s IPO. The program is scheduled to be implemented until 2015 and provides for a gradual listing of shares of major and most stable state companies. KazTransOil will be the first to float its shares under the People’s IPO. The shares will be on sale starting from September 2012. KEGOC, Air Astana, KazTransFlot, Samruk-Energo and KazTransGas will be listed in 2013. Kazakhstan Temir Zholy, KaztemirTrans, KazAtomProm and KazMunaiGas will start floating in 2014-2015.
