Oil export from Russia to Kazakhstan grew 77.3 percent

Export of Russian oil to Kazakhstan in January-February 2013 grew 77.3 percent compared to the same period last year and made 1,176 million tons, Interfax-Kazakhstan reports citing the operation summary of the Central Dispatcher Department of the Fuel-Energy Complex. Meanwhile, oil transit from Kazakhstan via Russia made 3.067 million tons (1.533 million tons in February). In general, the export of Russian oil to far-abroad countries in January-February 2013 made 33.201 million tons (4.125 million barrels per day), which is 2.6 percent less than in 2012. 15.791 million tons of oil (4.134 million barrels per day) were exported from Russia in February. In two months of 2013 Russian oil companies lowered the export to CIS countries by 6.5 percent: to 4.613 million tons. The volume of oil supplies to Belarus were decreased by 3 percent compared to 2012 and reached 3.437 million tons. No supplies were made to Ukraine.
