Kazakhstan is offering locally-made commodities for the humanitarian aid market, Tengrinews.kz reports citing National Export and Investments Agency Kaznex Invest. Kazakhstan manufacturers presented their goods at the international exhibition Dubai International Humanitarian Aid and Development-2012. "Participation in DIHAD exhibition is a good opportunity for Kazakhstan companies to establish contacts with buyers like UN organizations, Red Cross and Red Crescent, traders and other companies working in the humanitarian aid market. The most popular humanitarian aid goods include food, medicines, commodities of light and chemical industry, construction materials. All these commodities are offered by Kazakhstan manufacturers," deputy chairman of Kaznex Invest Meirzhan Maikenov said. Kazakhstan presented the goods of high demand at the humanitarian aid market: pasta, vegetable oils, disposable medical appliances, rice and dairy products. Kaznex Invest agency has a database of 57 potential Kazakhstan suppliers included into a special catalog. It is looking for more suppliers among local manufacturers, because humanitarian aid goods can serve well to expand the country's export. Kaznex Invest - National Export and Investment Agency - is a state-run agency set up to help diversify Kazakhstan's economy by encouraging export of products from outside the natural resources sector and to attract foreign investment into the country.
