Kazakhstan is ranked 80th in the Good Country Index, Tengrinews reports citing Goodcountry.org.

The creator of the rating Simon Anholt wrote that they were not trying to make a moral judgment but “to measure what each country on earth contributes to the common good of humanity, and what it takes away”.

Kazakhstan ranked higher than Russia (95) and Belarus (82) in the overall ranking and had the highest position in health wellbeing (23). Lack of medicine export prevented Kazakhstan from taking a higher rating in the list. The country took the 26rd place in international peace and security.

The Good Country Index includes 125 countries overall. Ireland took the first place. Libya ranked 125th. All the information used in the ranking was taken from UN and other international organizations.

“Today as never before, we desperately need a world made of good countries. We will only get them by demanding them: from our leaders, our companies, our societies, and of course from ourselves,” Anholt concluded.
