Estonian businessmen will make Kazakhstan’s economy greener

Estonian businessmen will help 'green up' the economy of Kazakhstan. Companies from Estonia will be involved in implementations of the projects based on the “green” economy principles, Tengrinews.kz reports citing Kazakhstan Prime-Minister Karim Massimov as saying at a press-conference after his meetings at Kazakhstan-Estonian business forum. “During the bilateral talks we discovered a new area that we had not planed to cover initially. We discussed our traditional cooperation in transport, use of Tallinn port and air transportation. But there are many other areas where Estonia is very successful. They include implementation of “green” economy principles and alternative energy sources. Kazakhstan is only starting to move in this direction. And we are very interested in attracting the Estonian companies that already have some experience in this area,” Karim Massimov said. According to Prime-Minister, there are 54 financial, trade and civil construction Kazakhstan-Estonian companies in Kazakhstan. “Kazakhstan invites Estonian entrepreneurs to take part in implementation of the priority projects. We will encourage businessmen to bring new technologies into our economy besides investing into development of new production facilities,” the Prime-Minister noted.
