Chinese authorities are going to create several free economic zones in the regions near the Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan borders, 24.kg reports with a reference to Ambassador of China to Kyrgyzstan Wang Kaiwen. “Government of China is planning to establish two free economic zones in Kashgar and Khorgos. This is a strong step needed to boost socio-economic development of Western regions in China,” the Ambassador said. According to Wang Kaiwen creation of the free trade zones will help increase commodity turnover between China, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. He added that creation of the zones is part of the reforms aimed at opening China to the global community that have been pursued by the Communist Party of China in the last 30 years. “These policies have yielded positive results. The country enjoyed massive development,” he added.
