Construction of road interchanges at the crossing of Raimbek and Momyshuly streets and on the Eastern Bypass Road on Khaliulin street will start in Almaty this year, deputy mayor of Almaty Viktor Dolzhenkov told Tengrinews.kz. He added that the construction will take two years. The new junction on Khaliulin street will significantly ease the traffic pressure on Kuldzhinsk highway. “The tender is scheduled for the end of April to select the contractor. There is enough money to start the construction, but we will have to think about ways to fund the project during the whole course of its implementation. Construction will start in about a month,” he said.
