7th World Islamic Economic Forum opened in Astana with reading from Koran. The Forum's subject is Global economic development: relationship, competition, partnership, Tengrinews.kz reports. Heads of Kazakhstan Government, Prime-Minister Karim Massimov and his deputy Asset Issekeshev, took part in the opening ceremony of the meetings of business women and young leaders. “We have all the needed resources and we are sure that investments into agriculture, food industry, tourism, infrastructure, chemistry, petrochemistry and innovations is going to be successful. Kazakhstan is working to improve energy efficiency of housing and public utilities sector, bio- and nano-technologies, as well as in the area of education and public health,” Issekeshev said. Vice-Prime-Minister said that Kazakhstan considers this forum a platform for dialog on economic development between the West and the East. Representatives of 45 countries, international financial institutes and organizations, as well as outstanding scientists arrived for the Islamic Economic Forum. Besides representatives of business and expert sectors, the 7th World Islamic Economic Forum will be attended by world leaders, including President of Djibouti Ismail Omar Guelleh, Vice-President of Indonesia Boediono, Prime-Ministers of Malaysia and Tajikistan Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak and Akil Akilov, Vice-Prime-Ministers of Iraq and Kyrgyzstan Rowsch Nuri Shaways and Omurbek Babanov, President of Islamic Development Bank Ahmad Mohamed Ali Al-Madani, former Prime-Ministers of Lebanon, Pakistan, Malaysia, the Netherlands Fuad Siniora, Shaukat Aziz, Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, Wim Kok, as well as Finance Ministers of Saudi Arabia and Jordan, Economy Ministers of UAE, Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan.
