CIS Heads of Government Council backed Marchenko as candidate to lead IMF

The CIS Heads of Government Council supported Kazakhstan National Bank's President Gregory Marchenko as a candidate to lead the IMF, Kazakhstan PM Karim Massimov posted in his Twitter. “The CIS Heads of Government Council backed G.Marchenko as a candidate to lead the IMF,” posted Massimov. The International Monetary Fund head Dominique Strauss-Kahn resigned after being accused of sexually assaulting a maid in New York hotel. The list of candidates was released. France's finance minister Christine Lagarde and former chief of German Central Bank Axel Weber are among the candidates.
