Vice-Prime-Minister and Minister of Industry and New Technologies Asset Issekeshev checked on a process gas treatment plant project in Karaganda oblast in central Kazakhstan, Tengrinews.kz reports citing the press-service of Kazakhstan Ministry of Industry and New Technologies. “Asset Issekeshev visited ABsalut Ecology that is implementing the project called Industrial module on process gas treatment. Construction of the site for testing the new model of gas-treatment unit has been completed. Several major regional industrial companies are already showing interest in developments of Absalut Ecology,” the message states. According to the authorities, Riger logistics center is another facility that has been put into operation last year. Its main activities include storage of medicines and medical purpose goods. “The facility is equipped with modern German-made storage equipment, air conditioning system and cooling equipment for maintaining special temperature regimes in the chillers with the total area of 400 square meters. The project received support from the Government as part of the Business Road Map-2020 program,” the press-service writes. Asset Issekeshev also checked on the work of the Thermal Power Plant No.3 where turbines were stopped for several hours on February 12, 2013. The cause of the interruption was eliminated the same day and the plant resumed its operation. Besides, Issekeshev discussed the socioeconomic development of Kazakhstan at a meeting with the oblast’s entrepreneurs, university professors and students. A meeting of the regional coordination council on the State Program of Accelerated Industrial-Innovative Development was held in the oblast administration building. The meeting covered attraction of investments, development of a free economic zone and industrial areas, the region's innovative system and ways of bringing the production facilities launched under the Industrialization Map program to their project capacities. “According to Asset Issekeshev, Karaganda oblast is one of the most active regions in term of development of industries and implementation of the State Program of Accelerated Industrial-Innovative Development in general. The Vice-PM pointed the necessity to further buildup production volumes, actively promote export and attract foreign investments, as well as give more consideration to reaching the project capacity in the production facilities and improve quality of selected projects,” the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies writes.
