Kazakhstan Ministry of Industry and New Technologies plans to construct a heat power station, Tengrinews.kz reports. According to Minister Asset Issekeshev, the construction will start by 2020. "Currently the coal industry is the main source of our power energy. New approaches will be adopted. Technological requirements will be met to make the use of more environment-friendly technologies possible at our heating stations. Starting from 2020 and maybe earlier, we are planning to involve the coals of Torgai basin, where we want to built heat power stations," Minister said at the government meeting that covered energy development in Kazakhstan. According to Issekeshev, investments into the coal industry will make 600 billion tenge ($4 billion) and coal production will reach 150 million tons.
