Kazakhstan cannot influence global economic processes, but it can and it should react to them in the interest of its population, Prime-Minister Karim Massimov said at a joint meeting of the parliament on June 20, Tengrinews.kz reports. “Being an open economy and being a part of the larger world Kazakhstan cannot influence the global economic processes taking place in the world. They are happening outside of our wishes or our will. But can we react to the processes that are taking place today? We can and we must,” Karim Massimov told the parliament deputies. “We will be making plans and provision. The meeting of the state budget commissions to prepare 2011, 2012, 2012 budget is about to start. The goal of our government is to neutralize all the possible problems that can emanate from the global economic to provide maximum protection of our population from these problems. And when the economy will start booming again we should save up the excess for the rainy day so that we have funds to use if need arises at some point or another,” Prime-Minister of Kazakhstan said.
