Helicopter's blades damaged during emergency landing in Almaty oblast

The Bell 206L3 that recently made an emergency landing in Kazakhstan's Almaty oblast damaged the blades, Tengrinews.kz reports citing press-service of Kazakhstan Ministry of Transport and Communications. On February 15 the helicopter owned by ZHERSU AVIA flying from Burundai to Karaozek performed an emergency landing near Bakanas village. After landing on uneven icy surface the helicopter flipped to one side “damaging the blades and windows”. The pilot and three passengers onboard were not injured. Two Ukrainian citizens were among the passengers. The Department on Investigation of Aviation Accidents and Incidents of Kazakhstan Ministry of Transport and Communications is working at the accident site. More details of the accident and its causes will be made available after the investigation is over. The lastest maintenance of Bell 206L3 BL007 helicopter was performed on May 15, 2012. The certificate of airworthiness expires on June 5, 2013. The helicopter has spent 6.2 thousand hours in the air from the beginning of its exploitation.
