An explosion killing one person and injuring several others happened at the crossing of Abay and Kazybek Bi streets in Taraz, Interfax-Kazakhstan reports citing witnesses of the incident. According to the news agency the blast happened right next to the oblast administration building. Witnesses say that police has put the dead man into a black body bag and loaded it into an ambulance car. According to witnesses not one, but three people were killed in the blast. “At about 9:30 a hunting equipment shop was robbed, a guard was killed there. In several minutes shooting and the explosion were heard near the oblast administration building that is located not far from the shop," one of the witnesses says. Central part of Taraz city is cordoned, police is everywhere, helicopters are zooming over the site. Witnesses say that a police man was killed in the firefight and one other man was killed with a grenade. Emergency Department and Internal Affairs Department of the oblast have declined to comment.
