The Astana airport will be closed during the preparations and military parade in Astana on the day of the Defender of the Motherland, Tengrinews reports citing the official website of the Astana airport.
The airspace will be closed on April 24-30 and on May 2, 3 and 5 during the periods from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for the air show preparations. The airport will be closed on May 7 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. during the military parade.
The closure of the airpsace will result in flights delay.
The military parade will be held at the Kazakh Eli square in Astana on May 7 to celebrate the Defender of the Motherland Day.
Kazakhstan Air Forces pilots will showcase new aerial combat elements at the parade. All the flying vehicles from Taldykorgan and Shymkent air force bases have already been redeployed to the Karaganda airfield for joint practices.
