Kazakhstan Interior Ministry gave a full picture of the mass murder in Ile-Alatau park near Almaty that happened in mid August this year, Tengrinews.kz reports citing Interior Minister Kalmukhanbet Kassymov. "I think that the investigation is over. Special prosecutors investigated this criminal case. I think they will announce their results in the nearest time. We are currently searching for the criminals. We have the general picture of the crime already. We believe that a group of criminals set their trench shelter up in the mountains and lived there with their wives. One of them even delivered a baby. Of course, park ranger Panaiot Zakharopulo started suspecting the presence of some people, went up there with the second ranger and found them. Judging from our findings, the criminals first killed the ranger, then went down and killed everyone who was at Zakharopulo's cordon. Having collected all their women, the criminals eliminated all the witnesses present at second ranger Aleksey Shkilev's cordon," Kassymov said. Earlier Tengrinews.kz English reported that 7 corpses with knife wounds were discovered in Ile-Alatau park near Almaty on August 13-14, as well as remainders of another 4 persons in a burnt down forester's house. The criminal case was initiated the same day and an investigation group was formed from Interior Ministry's employees and officers of Almaty and Almaty oblast Interior Departments. The criminal cases on all the facts were joined in one case, an inter-authority investigation group led by a special prosecutor was formed.
