McDonald's, the largest fast food chain in the world, is entering the Kazakh market, Tengrinews.kz reports, citing Astana’s Entrepreneurship Authority.

McDonald's, the largest fast food chain in the world, is entering the Kazakh market, Tengrinews.kz reports, citing Astana’s Entrepreneurship Authority.

The information has been confirmed by official reps of Khan Shatyr, a major shopping mall in Astana. The fast food chain has already launched official accounts on social networks. According to the information on the accounts, McDonald's in Almaty, the biggest city in Kazakhstan, is to be launched May 1 on Arbat, the main pedestrian zone. The fast food outlet in Astana is to be launched June 1 in Khan Shatyr shopping mall.

McDonald's is the world's leading global foodservice retailer with over 35,000 locations serving approximately 70 million customers in over 100 countries each day. More than 80% of McDonald's restaurants worldwide are owned and operated by independent local business men and women.
