All shops were audited. The plan is to construct a full technical center on basic maintenance and repairs of the aircrafts used both in Kazakhstan and in other Central Asian countries,” Nurzhan Baidauletov said. Three airports in Kazakhstan have been reconstructed: Pavlodar, Aktobe and Atyrau. The runway strip was repaired and flash equipment was modernized in Pavlodar. New stairways were purchased and the building was reconstructed. Aktobe airport’s terminal was reconstructed, the runway strip was repaired to accept aircrafts without limitations and increase the airport’s capacity up to 500 passenger per hour. New 3,000m-long and 45m-wide runway strip was introduced in Atyrau. According to Nurzhan Baidauletov, this strip will last for at least the next 20 years. By Baubek Konyrov
