Kazakhstan filmmaker won "Done in 60 Seconds" competition in London "The Black Swan" film frame

Remake of Black Swan movie made by Indira Suleymenova Kazakhstan became the winner of 2012 Done in 60 Seconds competition that was held by Jason Empire Awards in London, Tengrinews.kz reports, referring to the website of the event. “This is incredible! I want to thank all my family and friends, all people who supported me. Thank you so much! I can’t believe this is true!” Suleymenova said after receiving her award. Four other short list nominees completed with the award-winning remake in the final: Edward Scissor Hands by Rosen Lliev (Bulgaria), District 9 by Andrew Norton (Ireland), Spider-Man by Gonzalo Ruiz & Joaquin Vergara (Chile) and Herge's Raiders of the Lost Ark by Philip Askins (UK). Irish comedian and actor Chris O’Dowd, comedian Alex Zane and the Empire Editor Mark Dinning judged the competition. Participants of the contest had to shoot 60-second remake of any film. No restrictions were set, but the key idea was to make the remake recognizable for the audience. The majority of the participants made their remakes in the form of stop-motion or computer animations. Kazakhstan participated in Done in 60 Seconds international competition for the second time. The Dark Knight by Andrey Manuilov represented the country last year. But that work didn’t make it into the short list of the final five.
