Jazz bands from Norway and Georgia will participate in Almaty Jazz Festival for the first time

Almaty will host Jazz Festival for the eleventh time, Tengrinews.kz reports. Jazz bands from Switzerland (Ost West Inspiration), Germany (Pablo Held Trio), Austria (Michaela Rabitsch & Robert Pawlik), Hungary (Kristof Bacso quartet), Kyrgyzstan (Salt Peanuts), Norway (Jan Gunnar Hoff), France (Jean Jacques Milteau), USA (Cindy Scott/Brian Seeger), Georgia (Dini Virsaladze Trio) and Turkey (Onder Focan and Meltem Ege) will perform on April 12-15 in the concert hall of Almaty Schoolchildren’s Palace (Dostyk Avenue, corner of Satpayev Street). The Jazz Festival's program is available at Jazz.kz . Almaty Jazz Band, Magic of Nomads, Brass & Drums of Kazakhstan will also take part in the Festival. The musicians from Norway and Georgia will perform in Kazakhstan for the first time. The musicians that will take part in the Festival will also offer master-classes in Tagir Zaripov's Jazz School. Tagir Zaripov himself is the organizer of the Festival. The School was established in 2000 and it is the only youth jazz school in Central Asia. Children aged 6-18 and adults can take courses in the school.
