The doubling of last year's values happened, first of all, thanks to raising demand for cars assembled in Russia and Kazakhstan. Cars originating from the two countires were responsible for almost 64 percent of the sales increase in January-May. Import from far abroad and neighboring Uzbekistan contributed 33.1 and 2.9 percent to the dynamics of additional sales during the five months. 2,487 light vehicles were assembled in Kazakhstan in January-May, which is 3.53 times more than in the same period of 2010.
